Establishing Community Needs

Public Consultation relating to a significant housing and social amenity investment programme by a Local Authority and a Housing Association. This work involved public open workshops, consultation with Interest Groups and regular reporting to the client over a period of 15 Months.

Working with other Professionals

This piece of work was in parallel with Architects and planner colleagues who were involved in a wide-ranging master plan for a rural, former mining town.
Public Consultation was (in the main) conducted by face-to-face interviews, while the work with commercial and community groups was achieved by a series of meetings.

City Centre Study

A joint study of a specific part of a North of England City Centre involved extensive consultation with Interest Groups and a programme of public workshops. A great deal of the concern was around the future use of listed buildings and the need to ensure that traditional housing within the commercial sector of the City was preserved.

Peripheral Estates

This was a project designed to examine various options for the redevelopment of an area on the periphery of a Large Midlands City. The area had been developed as a high-density affordable housing area alongside a large number of Council Owned blocks of flats, which had been used as student accommodation.

The City Council commissioned the study in order seek opinions from local residents and retailers. The study was quite far reaching and examined not only rationalisation of housing but crime reduction and employment and Community Development Initiatives.

Rural Heritage

This project moved from an initial discussion to two separate business expansion briefs over a 5-year period. The organisation are a well established local Heritage trust and have considerable experience in establishing both heritage records and the creation of heritage walks. This includes design of walks around heritage subjects and maintenance of the walks and bridges.

The organisation also has vast collections of monochrome photographs covering the history of the community and its coal-mining heritage. We advised on various marketing options for the client

This is an evidence gathering process relating to Care Home provision and a range of exciting alternatives to traditional Elderly Care Concepts.

This work is proving to be of great interest to a number of clients. We provide information on all aspects of Care Service development including design, management, training, demographic information, and strategic planning.
